Imagine our friendly farm cows, basically milk magicians, they like sharing their delicious milk twice a day. This super fresh milk gets a little warm hug (pasteurization) and then teams up with some sweet sugar, rich cream, and fun flavours.

They all jump into a whirly machine that whips them into a fluffy, frozen dream.

 

A quick chill session later,

and *voilà* – that farm-fresh goodness is ready to become your next favorite scoop!

Milk Processing

Once the milk is freshly collected from the cow, it’s ready for its exciting transformation!

First up: pasteurization - a heat hug that kills any sneaky bacteria, making the milk safe, super fresh, and ready for the tasty journey ahead.

Hot milk is no good for making ice cream so the milk takes a speedy plunge into a chilled bath—rapid cooling that quickly drops the temperature. This keeps the milk fresh and prevents any unwanted bacteria from making a comeback. Now, it’s cooled, safe, and totally ready for the fun part: flavour! 

think of pasteurization as like giving the milk a spa day to make sure it’s perfectly clean and happy.

Next up, the real fun begins!

Fun Flavours &
Chilly Churning

Next, the milk mixture gets a splash of sugar, a dash of vanilla,

or maybe even bits of cookies or chocolate chips—whatever your favourite flavour is!

The ingredients are mixed together in a big, swirling machine called a churn.

As the churn spins, it’s like a dance party, cooling the mixture down even more and

trapping tiny air bubbles inside.  These bubbles are the secret behind that irresistibly fluffy,

creamy texture you love in Matlock Meadows Ice Cream.

Farm to Freezer... 

There’s one more thing to do!

The churned mixture is then poured into a freezer, where it’s left to harden and develop

that perfect scoopability. 

 

As it freezes, the flavours meld and the texture becomes smooth

and velvety.

 

When it’s finally ready, you get to scoop out a generous helping of happiness

rich, cold, and delicious perfect for licking, spooning, or topping with sprinkles.
